My sister, Gemi Bordelon, wrote a Saints inspired song to the tune of a Kenny Chesney hit for her daughter's school "Saints" pep rally they are hosting on 2/5/10. (Louisiana and Chesney's island vibe go hand and hand. He's a Grand Isle playlist staple. It was the perfect fit for the Saints!) We sent the lyrics to a good friend and country music artist, Judd Bares of Sulphur, LA. WHO DAT?! (My apologies for the personal pics slideshow... I snapped them at the NFC championship game!) www.juddbares.com **NOTE: This song was written and recorded to show FAN SUPPORT of our NEW ORLEANS SAINTS. No profit is intended with this recording.
When The Saints Go Marching in. Dixieland Crackerjacks (From the Netherlands) on tour in Poland. A previous video of this tune played in Belgium is one of the most watched videos the band ever made, so we hope that this one will also attract interested people. www.dixielandcrackerjacks.com This track starts and ends with a standing ovation as this concert was a hugh succes. Koos Greven - banjo, vocals Slidin' Selena - trombone Bert van Erk - double bass Ray Vanderhooft - drms Michel Muller - trumpet Bert Brandsma - clarinet, alto saxophone "When the Saints Go Marching In." often referred to as "The Saints," is a United States gospel hymn that has taken on certain aspects of folk music. Though it originated as a spiritual, today people are more likely to hear it played by a jazz band. The song is often confused with a similarily titled composition "When the Saints are Marching In" from 1896 by Katharine Purvis (lyrics) and James Milton Black A traditional use of the song is as a funeral march. In the funeral music tradition of New Orleans, Louisiana, often called the "jazz funeral", while accompanying the coffin to the cemetery, a band would play the tune as a dirge. On the way back from the interment, it would switch to the familiar upbeat "hot" or "Dixieland" style. While the tune is still heard as a slow spiritual number on rare occasions, from the mid-20th century it has been more commonly performed as a "hot" number. The number remains particularly associated with the ...

www.youtube.com www.youtube.com for BETTER audio quality go there (audio only) www.myspace.com I recorded this one a while back. I'm on vacation so I took some of my free time to edit the video and post it here. I recorded it on Logic/Final cut express with my studio project's mic and my alesis iO2 soundcard. No auto tuning or melodyne or any other pitch correction effects (as you may hear because I'm not really in the right key lol) sorry for the pretty bad video quality, I made it during one of those evening...and the iSight seems to don't like the up tempo at all ! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it : please comment, rate & subscribe ! Thanks

This is a reworked version of the original video, which had some images that caused a viewer to see it as being about the United States military as crusaders in foreign land. Jesus is concerned about what takes place in the heart of an individual. It was His great love for us that kept Him on the Cross of Calvary. He is not a God of politics or war, even when we are tempted to believe that He is. Nations and leaders have always changed in this fallen world of ours; God's truth, however, remains a constant. The One whose love brings us to repentance desires us to live a faithful life.

Mark Chang and Jeremy Kurn playing "When the Saints Go Marching In" taking turns, improvising acrobatic positions, and getting downright silly while keeping the tune going fast. Be sure to catch the surprise grand finale upside-down one-armed-handstand-while-still-playing maneuver. Musical acrobats. New Orleans style Cutting Contest. Note the use of a toy piano and playing piano with toes. Recorded late summer 1998 at the ASUCD Coffee House in Davis, CA. We barely rehearsed this performance- we just showed up at the coffeehouse and started goofing around at the piano. Pardon the casual dress- summer in Davis is very very hot. The rough-looking character sitting in a chair eating a tub of yogurt and granola is the legendary Dave Pyles. Camera work by Yasa Henson, creator of the Muse Matrix.
Bo starts off this classic tune kind of normal as as the song progresses, Bo adds more and more of his unique guitar style to it.

Petition: WhenTheSaints.org It's been two years since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region, and still there are tens of thousands of families without homes. 30000 families are scattered across the country in FEMA apartments, 13000 are in trailers, and hardly any of the 77000 rental units destroyed in New Orleans have been rebuilt. Dixieland Crackerjacks touring in Belgium. Live recorded at the Ninove Jazzfestival 2007. Mai 4. 2007 Koos Greven - banjo, vocals Raymond van der Hooft - drums Henk Haverhoek - bass Slidin' Selena - trombone Michel Muller - trumpet Bert Brandsma - clarinet, alto saxophone www.dixielandcrackerjacks.com When The saints Go Marching In, performed live. Listen how well the band builds up the tension and the extremely swinging groove towards the final chorusses. This kind of swing is very seldom heard nowadays and it is supported by the harmonic modulations, that came spontanious during this performance. You can hear the bandleader giving the new key(s), and the whole band following without hesitation. This band has a nice blend of sophisticated routines and spontanious action that keeps the musicians alert and may surprise the audience. No two performances are the same.
Shot this on April 28, 2007 (after beignets at Cafe Du Monde). Really good musicians (esp. that super long trumpet note), crowd scene and surrounding scenery. Gotta love NOLA!
