Beyond Reality - Hell's Kitchen Recap 10/13/09. Its the finale! The final three are Dave, Kevin & Ariel. Each picked a country from under a dome. They had 45 mins to create a dish representing that cuisine to be judged by 3 specialty chefs. Ariel chose China, Dave chose India & Kevin got Mexico. Dave won the challenge by a vote of 3-0. As reward he & his sister & fiancee got to enjoy the three signature dishes of the guest chef/judges while Kevin & Ariel cleaned & prepped Hells Kitchen. Dave also won a complete set of cookware. Dinner service - This service the chefs took turns being in charge in the kitchen. They all did pretty well - no one was amazing though. They completed service & Ramsey asked them each to choose who they think should go. Kevin chose Ariel & Ariel chose Kevin. Dave chose Ariel but Ramsey said it didnt help him to decide. He also asked them why they thought they should be in the final 2. In the end Ariel was eliminated but got to keep her jacket. Dave & Kevin had 30 mins to get ready - a limo was waiting to take them to a hotel rooftop. They had 45 mins to make their signature dishes while a huge crowd watched. Dave chose to prepare a venison & Dave prepared a seafood dish including lobster & clam. There were 5 guest judges - 4 food critics & a chef. It was split 2-2 but Dave won the challenge. When time is up, Chef Ramsay informs the contestants "By the way, they don't like vegetables!" as 80 children rush into the dining room. Award / Punishment: Tennille is treated to a makeover in Beverly Hills and then goes with Chef Ramsey to Nobu restaurant in Los Angeles where she is treated to a sushi meal personally prepared by world renowned sushi chef Nobu Matsuhisa. At the end of the meal, Chef Matsuhisa presents Tennille with a brand-new set of sushi knives made by JA Henckels. Beyond Reality - Hell's Kitchen Recap 8/25/09 Last week on Hell's Kitchen Jim was sent home and Robert was sent to the hospital. This week the challenge is for each team to rolls the dice on the Hells Kitchen craps table and make a dish based on the letters they roll. Ladies - Rabbit, Haricot Verts, Potatoes, Garlic & Ham Hock. Men - Haddock, Figs, Angel Hair Pasta, Apples & Tomatoes. They had 30 minutes to cook. The mens team won because the ladies garlic puree was too strong. The men got a trip to Vegas & the ladies had to unload delivery trucks all say & night too. Robert returns from the hospital. Each kitchen this week has a chefs table with VIP chefs from Ramseys restaurants. Dave impressed his VIP diners with the appetizers. Van sent out food with plastic & paper on it. Sabrina used dirty pans. The men forgot about their chefs table. Robert sent out raw food. Ramsey shut it down & service was incomplete. The men lost because of the comment cards. Dave is the best of the worst & nominates Robert & Van. Ramsey sends Van back & calls up Andy. Robert gets upset & starts yelling that hell hang up his chef coat for good if Andy wins. Robert is sent home because after all of his experience he still sent out raw food.
