Installing Windows 7 Beta 7000 on a Compaq Deskpro made for Windows 95. It has a 450mhz Pentium 2, 576MB RAM, 8.4GB HDD, ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP video card with 4MB of SGRAM. Windows 7 reqiurments are a 1000mhz processor and 1024MB of RAM I would have used a video card capable of Aero but the Compaq had a proprietary video card slot that most cards will not fit in.

This tutorial shows you how to connect wireless keyboards and mice, via bluetooth, to windows 7 when they will not connect to your machine simply through the add device window. In this video I connect an apple wireless aluminum keyboard and wireless mighty mouse to windows 7. This is demoed on a macbook pro running windows 7 beta build 7000 through bootcamp. I usually use a studio mic, but my other systems are down at the moment, so I used the camera mic. This was a freaking Canon SD800 IS. Update: Upgraded to 4GB of RAM Installed the 64-bit RC version Updated Nvidia drivers Performance is even better than the beta. It still gets warm, but performs very close, if not better than XP (which is unfair since it had 2GB of ram at the time). All in all, very solid. :)

Sorry guys and gals... I didn't record the fps counter :( Guess I was too blown away at how well Windows 7's performance... including, more importantly FSX. Heres what I got with full sliders all options enabled in this video. VC in (DX9)15-18fps (DX10)28-30fps. I didn't see any flickering runways so far. Windows 7 beta x64 currently outperforms my super tweaked Vista 64. I have not migrated all of my addons to Windows 7 beta... just a couple of freeware aircraft. It has not even crashed or thrown an error.... yet. Windows 7 beta wipes the floor with Vista... Shame on "you guys" for releasing Vista! Hmmmm... How about a free upgrade to Windows 7 Final for all us Vista licenses? ...seems fair?!!
January 9th, 2009 Microsoft opened their arms and invited the world to demo their new windows seven. This operating system has been in development since windows vista was released, or even earlier, and essentially is what "longhorn" was meant to be. Think of windows 7 as vista with a few more features, a few less problems, and an overall lighter OS. This video is just my initial impressions of the public beta, build 7000. I really touch on application management and compatibility in this video. Although I do miss exposé, application management is really interesting in windows 7. Just showing the Windows 7 beta running on the new Unibody Macbook Pro (2.4ghz) via Boot Camp, and showing some of the issues I have experienced so far; 1. Missing SM Bus Controller Driver 2. Missing Coprocessor Driver 3. Experience Index Score 3.0 (Hard drive??? I turned of Write Caching as recommended for some people at the moment with the same issue) 4. REALLY sensetive with the trackpad, do NOT turn on tap-click, it makes it hard to use, clicks everywhere. This also shows it running with cod:waw and TF2. Sorry for the low upload quality, recorded using my iphone with Cycorder and converted to .avi for smaller filesize. Any help on the problems above would be jelpful!
