"PERFECTION is an art form, carved from domination of the time, a flawless patchwork, an unblemished surface that never loses its shine. Its sport was methodical, everyday in the WIN...every win by a wide margin. No one could know if this team was the "best of all time" but merely at the right time. But it was one thing for certain: BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE! And for that...there will always be a place in history.................."

UCONN womens basketball is a lot like church...many attend, but very few really understand! Here is a brief look at some of the rich history that is UCONN! There is no need to debate who is the greatest team in UCONN history. Each championship team would defeat the other on any given day. Maya Moore or Diana Taurasi? Sue Bird or Renee Montgomery? isn't it nice to have options??
Time to bring back a very popular video from the previous account, and as with just about every other video that's coming back, it's revamped, reorganized, and better than ever. These moves you'll see are more often than not one of a kind moves that you don't see very often. They're not to be confused with big match finishers, as these moves aren't seen too often simply because they're, as the video implies, unique, and one of a kind moves. Variations of the Powerbomb, Piledrivers, Brainbusters, and moves that defy description are featured here. For the most part, I think most of you can foresee a few moves on this list, and I hope there are some surprises as well. I'd also like to give a quick shout out to APW out in Vermont. Trust me, Daizee and Nikki are well worth the price of the DVD. Action Packed Wrestling Solving The Puzzle DVD Available at www.apwvt.com
I made this PBS television special, Sins Of Our Mothers, with Rocky Collins, based on an interview with an old woman Maine reporter I had done way back in the mid-1970s. The documentary tells the story of Emeline. Without her knowledge, Emeline sinned and paid a heavy price for it. To see my other work, visit www.thehoffmancollection.com.
Okay, one screw up on a top twenty isn't bad, but everything's in perfect order now. As with the previous video, I want to reiterate that this isn't for who uses the Piledriver the best, this is for the many variations of the Piledriver. With that said, this is also revamped, re-edited, and reconfigure, and believe me, it's better than it used to be. This is my one and only Top Twenty, and one of my personal favorites. The Piledriver has been around for decades, but after a while, new variations came out of the wood work, making for some sick moves, including a few that would rank high in any list documenting the most dangerous moves in wrestling history, as well as some of wrestling's most popular moves. Some may cause you to feel psychotic, others may remind that the omega could be upon us.
Headed into the move variation top tens ever so briefly. Starting it off is a revamped, re-edited, and reconfigured top ten focusing on the variations of the Powerbomb. For those who haven't seen these before, I want to make it clear that this isn't for who uses the best Powerbomb, this is for variations of the Powerbomb itself. With that said, here we go. Over the course of the last few decades, the Powerbomb has been a feared part of wrestling. Since its inception, small variations of the move started popping up here and there. Today, there are many upon many variations of the Powerbomb, ranging from simplistic to absolutely amazing. Wrestlers from every weight class have used these moves, and one of wrestling's most dangerous moves is a Powerbomb variation.
In this episode of EXPLORING NEVADA youll take an undercover journeyto discover the underwear secrets of fashionable women living during Victorian times in Nevada. With fashion-history expert Jan Loverin as guide, youll travel to historic Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley for the inside scoop on how a genteel lady of the times (as re-enacted by Paulette Grune of Sparks) donned her corset, hoop skirt and other unmentionables. A grand start to what's to come in the vid forecast......a top ten to one of THE greatest wrestling organizations to EVER exist. Zen Nihon Joshi Puroresu (nicknamed Zenjo) was the shining star of women's wrestling since the 1980's. It consistently brought in great viewings on Japanese television sets. And with the increasing popularity of legends such as the Beauty Pair (Jackie Sato & Maki Ueda) and the Crush Gals (Chigusa Nagayo & Lioness Asuka) EVERYONE wanted to become a wrestler. And with the aid of amazing trainer/wrestler Jaguar Yokota and others, future star wrestlers such as Akira Hokuto, Aja Kong, Manami Toyota, Mariko Yoshida, Kyoko Inoue, Megumi Kudo, Mima Shimoda, Etsuko Mita, and MANY MANY MORE came about. AJW consistently put out great to classic matches and shows and solidified its place in wrestling history. Unfortunately, due to financial decisions, the formation of new promotions and competition, and the loss of several key stars, AJW was eventually forced to close its doors in 2005. But that doesn't mean that we STILL can't revel in its massive libraries of great matches constantly rediscovered and thus here's a top ten of what I considered the best finishers from amazing ladies throughout its legendary era.

Year by year images of women's fashions, 1949-1980, with 4 frames per year - more or less arbitrary selection- pics not in any chronological order within each year. The music is 'Aphrodite' by Alessandro Carabelli (details at All About Jazz website) WARNING! 1/Ideally, a slide show like this should be put together by someone with some credentials in, or a wide knowledge of, fashion history (rather than a mild interest)- but I did it anyway. I like the way the images convey the passing of years and decades. 2/ To the best of my knowledge (!) all images were published in the year shown - except that of the hippie girl in 1968b, which I believe is a later watercolour rendition of a pic of someone who attended a concert in Hyde Park, London, in that year. Ive had to try and judge which sources to trust for dates of post 1960 pattern illustrations and several individual scans. 3/Images should be seen as picked at random from each year and jumbled up within a year. The 4 frames per year do not represent any chronological order. Because fashion seasons begin in spring and autumn it is possible that things like Year A (all Dec pics) Year B (all Jan pics) Year C (all Dec pics) (meaning situations where 2 consecutive years containing one season are followed by 3 seasons being skipped before the images for the next year) could happen but blind chance makes it unlikely. Besides the hippie girl in 1968b, there are 2 other non-contemporary images: the mannequins from the Bath costume museum, at 1963a(rh) and 1970b(lh).

This program is a discussion of human rights with a focus on women's rights in Iran. Covered are a brief timeline of Iran's political history and women's contributions to human rights, past and present. A comparison of the current political atmosphere with Iran's past and future is highlighted, and what efforts are being made toward a future change in policy. The current regime in Iran is not supported by a majority of its citizenry; it is currently unstable and volatile. But there is an alternative to a war with Iran that is also an alternative to appeasement. There is a third choice that could effectively end the funding and exportation of terror and the flagrant violation of human rights being perpetrated on Iranian citizens by its government; an alternative that could prevent the promotion of further human rights violations. There is an alternative that is peaceful, intelligent and democratically organized, and legitimized by international law. The third alternative needs neither financial nor military support from the US
