That's right, WWDC 2012 is just hours away and there's a lot of speculation over what Apple will reveal. Things have changed a lot though. This will be Apple's first WWDC with Tim Cook as a CEO, and Steve Jobs' biography left a lot of hints about the last projects Steve was working on before his passing. Among these was the next generation iPhone, which many expect to be just as revolutionary as the first one. It surely isn't like Apple to launch a product just months away from its predecessor, but we've seen them prove this theory wrong with the launch of the iPad 2. The smartphone market is now more competitive than ever, and if Apple doesn't want the market filled with Galaxy S IIIs and HTC Ones, they better act fast. Watch this week's return of the Pocketnow iReview as we go through our Top 5 predictions for WWDC 2012, and let's cross our fingers.

WWDC 2012 rumours: iPhone 5, iOS 6, Mountain Lion and Apple iTV. The dates have been announced for WWDC in June, but what would we like to see? Here we rundown our list of five things we'd like to emerge from the Cupertino-based company. Apple has confirmed that WWDC 2012 San Fransisco will take place on the 11-15th of June and will be showcasing the next Mac OS known as Mountain Lion. Held every year in San Fransisco WWDC used to be the venue Apple used to release its latest iPhone however recently the Cuperitino-based company has been holding separate events. At present there's no known information on whether Apple will be unveiling any new products at WWDC so for the moment it looks like the company will be focusing on both Mountain Lion and iOS. With the New iPad showcasing the latest retina display apps and the latest version of iOS offering hundreds of new features all eyes will be on whether Apple decide to unveil iOS 6 or stick with iOS 5.1 For all the latest tech news, reviews and features head to: www.t3.com Follow Us on Twitter www.twitter.com Like Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com Check Us Out on Google + bit.ly

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in the San Jose Convention Center (May 13-16) was the first show after the purchase of NeXT, and focused on the efforts to use OpenStep as the foundation of the next Mac OS. The plan at that time was to introduce a new system then known as Rhapsody, which would consist of a version of OpenStep modified with a more Mac-like look and feel, the Yellow Box, along with a Blue Box that allowed existing Mac applications to run under OS emulation. The show focused primarily on the work in progress, including a short history of the development efforts since the two development teams had been merged on February 4. Several new additions to the system were also demonstrated, including tabbed and outline views, and a new object-based graphics layer (NSBezier). Source: wikipedia.org

Go to www.technomicon.com for our complete WWDC article. This is the all Steve Jobs part of the World Wide Developer Conference Keynote on Monday June 6, 2011 and includes his opening remarks, iCloud presentation, and closing thoughts. Although Microsoft got the jump on Apple with their personal cloud for Windows users that was announced at last year's FAM, Apple seems to be poised to provide a cloud service that is better integrated into Apple devices and services. Apple may also have found the killer rationale for the Cloud: it will enable iOS device owners to dispense with their personal computers, at least as far as updating their iOS devices is concerned. iCloud will enable automatic syncing of files, app purchases, music and video purchase on up to 10 devices automatically, without having to connect them to a Mac or PC. Software updates and iOS updates will now stream wirelessly from iCloud. iCloud promises to be another example of thorough and elegant Apple integration.

Apple made three big announcements this week at their Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Their web-based service, iCloud will be available this Fall. Synchronizing and storing your files across multiple devices, playing your music from anywhere you may be, and the ability to make updates directly to your applications are among its core features. Also set for release this fall is iOS 5, a major update to the operating system that runs the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. This update bridges the gap between the iOS and its competitors more popular features. Coming out this summer, OS X Lion which promises to change the way users experience their app library, bring apps in to the full-screen, and enhance multi-touch functionality. Apple's keynote at the World Wide Developer Conference was all about the software. OS X Lion The next OS for the Mac will be arriving next month and we got a look at some of its features like Mission Control, Launch Pad, and a completely redesigned Mail app modeled on the one used by the iPad. iOS 5 The OS for iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches is getting a major revision, with less intrusive notifications, a new messaging service that works between iOS devices, and even Twitter integration! iCloud There's been a lot of anticipation about Apple's cloud-based music and storage service, and today they gave us all the details. You'll be able to keep your music, photos, iWork files and more available to all your devices.
