It worked!!!!!! And I just checked, it is a perminent fix. Don't b afraid to turn ur xbox off lol u can use paperclips or toothpicks too lol just stop the fans from moving.

E 73 ethernet error. The real reason why the E73 error occurs. A safer component workaround. Is it more cost affective to continue with the workaround. Repair verses replacing a 3 year old 360 XBOX when it's out of warranty.

1st put 2 tooth picks on the back of the xbox where the air goes in or cotton stcks then turn on ur xbox 360 wait about 5 minutes and then u have 2 red lights diconnect the power cord take out the toothpicks or whatever u put then turn ur xbox 360 on and thats it and watch wut happends to campers on mw2 at the end of this video

For some reason there is no information on how you could fix this on the Microsoft support page or anywhere on the website. i got it last night but im gonna get it fixed in my local store for like 50$.Oh and if you use the fan blocking fix you should now that it can damage your console even further ,so dont use it more then 2 times.
This is only a temporary fix however. I still have to do this whole process every couple of days, but it still works. Sometimes I get the red ring whenever I'm playing, however, the effects of it are that your screen will have greenish, blueish pixels all across it, and it's very hard to play like that. If this happens, just repeat the process, and I recommend leaving your Xbox off for a few hours, then start gaming again!

I saw in another video how to fix it, and it worked. Then it happened a couple hours later, and thats when the spark came out and i got the three red rings. But just last night i pressed the on button randomly and it didn't do that, the fans came on and it had only the 4th player spot. So this is what i did, to show everyone with the E73 error how to fix it. Take note that if you do do it, it's only temporary. But it's not hard to repeat. You just need to wait around 5 minutes. Apparently E 73 is a problem with the ethernet port. Well after replacing it with a good one, it still does it....Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

got this shit when i came back from black fiday sales then fixed it with the towel trick and it messed up again so i did the towel tirck again and it worked.... but OMG yet again red ring so im sending this shit to microsoft for repairs
