Microsoft has finally unveiled the New Xbox 360 Slim today! The new gaming console comes in a sleeker design than before with the stealth color. Check this out! The New Xbox 360 Slim comes in a very sexy design with a glossy black color. What's new is that it has touch-sensitive buttons for on/off, eject and others so you just swipe your finger! It is also as Microsoft says it, its "whisper quiet". Instead of the Xbox 360 having two fans, it only has one but larger than it was before. Also, the new 45nm chipset will also generate less heat. It also has 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports where upgraders can just use a USB-to-Xbox hard drive connector. Its storage is 250GB on a removable hard drive. There's also a "custom Kinect port" on the back that looks like an HTC-style ExtUSB port, and it also seems like the power supply has moved inside the case, a new one from Xbox 360. The New Xbox 360 Slim is worth $299 and shipping will start today for the retailers and maybe available for gamers later this week. In Europe however, the New Xbox 360 will be there on July 16, so don't worry! The original Xbox 360 Slim will still be sold as long as there are stocks but they won't be manufacturing anymore of them. Milo: The Dimitri Project was the codename for a video game by Lionhead Studios that for many years had an unknown status, before surfacing in 2009 as the technology demo "Milo" for Microsoft's Project Natal.[1] Work on The Dimitri Project started in 2001 after Lionhead had finished work on Black & White, and had been reported as being cancelled, however a 2006 interview with Peter Molyneux confirmed that that was not the case.[2] Development on Dimitri was again reported as stopped with reports that the game never got to a "full-team" stage. It was reported that Dimitri had been replaced by a second project, Project X, which may lean on aspects of Dimitri but is distinct. In an interview with Eurogamer at E3 in June 2009 Peter Molyneux confirmed that The Dimitri Project had become the "Milo" technical demo used to demonstrate Microsoft's Project Natal which was shown at that years E3. Milo is a living AI that reacts to body movements and facial expressions. Milo is a program that recognises people, introduces himself to new people, and allows people to have a conversation with him. Rumors suggesting Microsoft would venture into motion controls came to fruition this morning with the unveiling of Project Natal during Microsoft's E3 Press Briefing. Project Natal, pronounced "nuh-tall," is designed to remove the controller entirely from playing videogames. Whereas Nintendo's Wii requires using a controller and nunchuk to capture movements, Project Natal does so hands-free, so-to-speak. The system uses an RGB camera, depth sensor, multi-array microphone and custom processor running software packed into a single device. The device is able to track full body movement in 3D and voice commands, including changes in inflection. Project Natal will be able to recognize your face and use that to log you into Xbox Live. This technology could also be theoretically used to verify inputting credit card information to keep the kiddies from making purchases when mommy and daddy are not around. Project Natal with its full body motion control and voice recognition does not have a release date at this time.
