XTO Energy, which was bought by Exxon Mobil in June for $1 billion, launched tender offers to buy up to $2.69 million of debt. The company is offering to repurchase debt with about 6% interest rates that matures between 2036 and 2038. XTO Energy plans to pay a 0.65 percentage point above the yield of 30-year Treasuries as of 2 PM ET on July 26. Citi also said that Exxon's stock implies a 50% discount on its upstream assets vs.private and public values for similar assets, a discount that is not sustainable. Citi reiterates its "Buy" rating on Exxon shares and $87 price target. Exxon Mobil iscurrently below its 50-day moving average (MA) of $62.01 and below its 200-day MA of $67.45. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day MA has fallen 1.49% while the 200-day MA has slid 0.37%.
