TNYS We didn't bust: We got Amar'e and other talented, young weapons. "The Knicks are back!" We lost David Lee, a great guy who will be missed, but we got more talent and ammunition for our team. Felton's a defensive guy who knows how to ball, while Amar'e is straight-up thunder. We haven't had a true leader since Pat Ewing. Now Amar'e will lead the new chapter. Anthony Randolph has tremendous potential, Turiaf is a shot blocker and a great teammate, while Kelenna Azubuike is a shooter who hustles and plays defense. Anthony Randolph: bit.ly Ronny Turiaf: bit.ly Kelenna Azubuike: bit.ly Raymond Felton: bit.ly We used to be that team that scored a lot, but had lousy defense, but now we can score, defend, and finish like true winning teams can. The Knicks are back. Oh yeah, a guy named Carmelo might come to the mecca, the Garden. No big deal. LeBron who? The MLB All-Star Game: Boring. McCann hit a bases-clearing double. End of story. Great pitching, yes, but the game wasn't special. Can't complain, as I watched amazing pitchers perform, but I like homers and triples and excitement. My opinion. David Wright represented the Mets well. 2-2 with a stolen base. Not surprised that the backup 3rd baseman, Scott Rolen, played more than the actual starter, Wright. Charlie Manuel, Phillies manager, hates the Mets. We hate his fat, turkey-like self more. Go Mets. And if we make the World Series we'll have home field advantage. RIP George Steinbrenner True owner who changed the game. TN YS

This is not going to be my collection video, but in the meantime, I'm going to talk about the Yankees where they won the World Series for the 27th time. I'm a Yankee fan myself when I was watching the World Series back on November 4th in Game 6 where they beat the Phillies by the score of 7-3 and they are the 2009 World Champions. I've seen Yankee games every single year during the baseball season. I will give you some of my personal opinions on an incredible season. I hope the Yankees will be back next season to win them all. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!
A Philadelphia woman charged with offering sex for World Series tickets looks she might actually be going to a game. Philly radio station Wired 96.5 will give Susan Finkelstein and her husband two tickets for Game 3 in Philadelphia between the Phillies and the New York Yankees, TV station myfoxphilly reported Wednesday. The couple has to pick up the tickets from Wired 96.5 by Friday, according to myfoxphilly. Game 3 is Saturday and will be broadcast on FOX. Susan Finkelstein says she's embarrassed about her arrest, but did nothing wrong. "I didn't do anything wrong, so I'm not embarrassed about my actions. I'm embarrassed about how I was arrested," she told The Associated Press in a phone interview on Wednesday, a day after meeting at a suburban bar with an undercover police officer responding to an ad on Craigslist. Finkelstein's lawyer said his client was merely "a nice lady overcome with Phillies fever." She might have dropped double entendres in her Craigslist ad but never explicitly offered sex, her lawyer William J. Brennan said. The 43-year-old Finkelstein wanted to take her husband to a game between her beloved Phillies and the Yankees. The self-described "buxom blonde" said she was simply trying to score tickets online, as she had in the past. Over a few beers at a suburban bar, she told a police officer she needed two tickets, one for herself and one for her husband. No price had been discussed, and Finkelstein and her lawyer stopped short of recounting specifics of what was said before several officers sitting at a nearby table came to arrest her. Brennan hopes to get the misdemeanor charge of promoting prostitution dismissed. Finkelstein told Philadelphia's WPVI-TV she was looking to get a deal on tickets. "I was hoping to maybe meet someone, and talk, and bat my eyelashes and maybe get some tickets," she said. Finkelstein faces a preliminary hearing on Dec. 3.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Rasheed Wallace(notes) keeps making his hometown his stomping ground. Wallace rooted on the Phillies at Game 5 of the World Series and he popped by to watch Philly boxing great Bernard Hopkins train for an upcoming bout. Bostons top reserve didnt stop having fun just because it was time to play. Wallace hit six 3-pointers as part of a 20-point effort and the Celtics remained unbeaten with a 105-74 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. Its home, Wallace said. A lot of friends and family dont get the opportunity to see me play. Everybody cant get that league pass and all that stuff. Its always fun to come back here and play. Wallace, who wore a black Phillies jacket to the game, easily had his best game in his short stint with the Celtics. He pretty much caught the ball, let it rip and watched it sink through the net. Wallace made 6 of 8 3-pointers and sank each long attempt about as easily as a layup in the paint. Wallace was about the only Celtic who had his normal night, even getting whistled for a technical foul for arguing with the refs in the third quarter. His fuse burst late in the quarter when he appeared to be fouled on a shot. The ref called a foul, he just didnt call it a shooting foul and denied Wallace a trip to the free-throw line. Wallace kept badgering the refs over the perceived blown call until he was hit with the T with 4.5 seconds left in the third. I just wanted to get my point across, Wallace said. I wasnt going to get thrown out. Paul Pierce(notes) scored 21 points as the Celtics improved to 5-0 even without the usual standout performances from Kevin Garnett(notes) and Ray Allen(notes). Were going to win because of our defense no matter how good our offense is, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. Allen didnt score his first field goal until the third quarter and had five points. Garnett made just one basket on seven shots and scored three points when he was yanked with the game out of hand. By the time Wallace got his technical, the game had spiraled into a blowout. Allen scored his first basket and Pierce hit a 3-pointer in a 14-2 run to open the quarter that shook off the Sixers for good. Eddie House(notes) made four 3s off the bench for the Celtics and scored 12 points. Shelden Williams(notes) added 11 points, helping the Celtics bench to a productive night after the starters and Wallace made this one a rout. Boston went 14 for 20 from 3-point range. The Sixers failed to hit a 3 until Jrue Holiday(notes) made one with 1:28 left in the game. The basket only cut Bostons lead to 102-71. Andre Iguodala(notes) led the Sixers with 17 points. Philadelphia missed 15 of 16 3-point attempts. Thaddeus Young(notes) was the only other Sixer in double digits, scoring 11 points as they snapped their modest two-game winning streak. The Sixers have struggled in two losses against the elite teams in the Eastern Conference (Orlando, Boston). They are veterans and we know they know how to play together, Young said. Wallace, friends with Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins, didnt offer a World Series prediction. The Yankees hold a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. Weve got the bats for it, weve got the pitching for it, Wallace said. He was also smart enough to stay out of Hopkins way during an afternoon visit at a local boxing gym. Hopkins, who attended the game, will fight Enrique Ornelas in a light heavyweight bout on Dec. 2 at Temples Liacouras Center. Nah, I didnt get in the ring with him this time, Wallace said. Hes got a fight coming up and I didnt want to damage him or nothing. Instead, he saved his blows for the 76ers. Notes: Rivers said he did not expect to hear from the NBA over a postgame incident in Boston involving New Orleans guard Chris Paul(notes) and the Celtics Rajon Rondo(notes). Rondo didnt want to talk about it. The Celtics swept the season series (4-0) last season. The biggest cheer came for Phillies World Series highlights.
Recapping game five of the 2009 World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees in a photo slide show format. The Phillies held off elimination behind the pitching of Cliff Lee and the bat of Chase Utley. Utley hit two home runs, including a first inning three-run home run to set the tone for the night. The Yankees had a rally late in the game but could not overcome the deficit as the Phillies won by a score of 8-6. The World Series now returns to Yankee Stadium for Game Six Wednesday night. Mariano Rivera strikes out Matt Stairs for the last out in Game 2 of the 2009 World Series. Final Score: Phillies 1 Yankees 3
This is basically my wrap up of the 2008 post season. The phillies won the world series back in 1980 and they havent won since then, until wednsday night. the phillies won just their second world championship in their 126th year of existance. Game 5 was probably the most bizzare and historic game in World series history. Game 5 started on a nasty monday october 27th. the game wound up being suspended in the bottom half of the 6th inning due to a down pour. The rain was bad enough to suspend the game until Wednsday. This was the first time a world series game was suspended by MLB. That's why it was so bizzare. Cole hamels almost became the first pitcher in postseason history to win all of his starts. The rays tied the game 3-3 and cole hamels gave up the save/opp. Pedro Feliz got the game winning hit. It was a single to shallow center field to score eric brauntlet, an aquired free agent when rollins got hurt in april, making the score 4-3. Brad Lidge came into the game in the 9th and won the game. The phillies became the first team to win all of their home games in the postseason since the 1999 Yankees. The fans of philadelphia no longer had to wait another year for a championship. The city as a whole hadn't won a championship since the 1983 sixers, and the phillies hadn't won a world series since 1980. Both droughts are now over. Over 2000000 people flooded the streets of philadelphia for the parade on friday october 31st. The linc and CBP held championship ceremonies where they presented the world series trophy and the players took a lap. Charlie Manuel said that it was the biggest, and the best parade he had ever seen and that he would never forget it. Philly fans can deffinatly say that it was all "werth" the wait. The fans don't have to hold their breaths any longer. They can exhale and say, PHINALLY!
