We continue in our study of the Rabbis teachings concerning the prohibitions on Yom Kippur. We learn that affliction of the soul is not something pursued but rather something that comes to us and we accept on this day. And who said that there are 5 prohibitions of Eating, Drinking, Washing, Anointing, Sandal Tying, and Marital Relations? They correspond to the 5 times "you afflicted you soul" is used in the Torah.
