This girl had addressed the united nation along with many world leaders including Barrack Obama. She is Yugratna Shrivastva, a resident of Lucknow, and a student of 9th standard. Earlier we had seen a young boy interviewing Obama and made news all over the world. Now the bigger news is this achievement by an Indian student. She is not just meeting these people but also sharing the dais with these intellectuals on the serious problem of Climate Change in all over the world. Her confidence could be seen in her speech on United Nations forum but the most astonishing thing was that, she had written all these things herself. Her speech was focused on the future problems caused by the global warming and rapid climate change. She asked the world that, what we are going to give our future generation? There are many question which stands before us and if we dont find there answers, it would result in to the bad future. Future generation will ask you, why you hadnt done any thing to stop this tragedy. In her speech she had shown many researches showing the reasons of climate change and the lack of measures to prevent them. This was not for the first time that Yugratna was addressing an international forum on this serious issue. She has been working on climate change with the help of a NGO. She joined this NGO while she was in 6th standard only, since than Yugratna has done many international seminars and addressed the world.

timesofearth.com United Nations -- Nearly 100 world leaders met at a summit at the United Nations Tuesday to put their political weight behind achieving a global climate treaty later this year when they meet in the Danish capital. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon launched the unprecedented summit with a warning to world leaders that their decisions would have "momentous consequences." "The fate of future generations, and the hopes and livelihoods of billions today, rest, literally, with you," he said. He urged action this December when the international community meets in Copenhagen. Mr. Ban said a successful deal would be one that includes ambitious reduction targets from industrialized countries and commitments on emissions from developing ones. He said it should also include financial and technological support for emerging countries. In his first speech before the United Nations, President Barack Obama said the United States understands how serious the threat of climate change is and is ready to respond, but he did not offer any new proposals. Instead, he pointed to US efforts to invest in alternate forms of clean and renewable energy, such as wind and solar power, and to reduce carbon pollution. He also pointed to efforts to pass important climate legislation in the US Congress. "Taken together, these steps represent an historic recognition on behalf of the American people and their government. We understand the gravity of the climate threat. We are determined to act ...
