London/ Pakistan,August 11 (ANI):Shameen Khan who has now been hailed as hero by Pakistan diaspora in UK for allegedly hurling shoe at Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari during his recent UK visit, justified his action saying it was a befitting form of protest against Zardari's UK visit at a time when floods have killed at least 1600 people in Pakistan. In an exclusive interview to Asia News International in London on Wednesday,Shameen, who is also a Pakistan People's Party activist claimed that he did not think Zardari was the Chairman of the party he believed in.

BIRMINGHAM: President Asif Ali Zardari's grand finale to his UK visit was marred on Saturday by two shoes thrown at him by a 60-year-old man during his speech, in the inglorious tradition set by former US President George Bush in Baghdad. According to AFP, the police said one man was escorted from the hall after a shoe was thrown at Zardari, while adding it did not land close to him. It has not yet been decided whether to press charges, a spokeswoman for the local force said. Geo TV and Jang correspondent, who was in the front row, saw the old man throw both his shoes at Mr Zardari, within seconds as security officials immediately escorted him out of the meeting. A few minutes after the incident, the old man was released by the authorities, Pakistani TV channels reported shortly after the incident. The incident inside the hall coincided with a big protest outside the venue where hundreds of flag-waving protestors carried banners and raised slogans against the Zardari visit.
An Old man registered his protest against Pakistan President Zardari by throwing shoes at him at a PPP Convention in Birmingham today. Later this man was taken out of the hall by PPP workers and Police and was released after brief questioning and the most interesting part of the story is - the man was a PPP supporter. Zardari has done his best to finish PPP as it appears from the actions of Party workers... To watch more Please join us at merawatan.pk

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is on his first official visit to Tajikistan. He meets with Tajik President Imomali Rakhmon to discuss economic issues. Here's more on the story. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari met with Tajik President Imomali Rakhmon on Wednesday the 29th to discuss economic issues such as cooperation in the banking sector, trade and investment. After the talks, Zardari and Rakhmon signed a joint declaration on strengthening cooperation between the two countries. The issue of energy cooperation may have been discussed during the meeting, but no document on this topic was signed. Pakistan is suffering from a severe shortage of electricity and wants to import energy from Tajikistan. Construction of a 700-kilometer transmission line is under proposal. The line would stretch from Tajikistan to Pakistan, via Afghanistan. Zardari is expected to take part in a trilateral summit with Rakhmon and Afghan President Hamid Karzai later in the day. This meeting will be devoted to the issues of regional security and energy cooperation.

He points out Zardari's dismal public support, massive corruption, and hostility towards independent judiciary. Remarkably, these very characteristics have endeared him to American neocons to do their bidding in Pakistan. PLEASE READ MY COMMENTS ON THE VIDEO BEFORE WATCHING.
