The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, contains a record of God's dealings with a part of the House of Israel. It contains prophecies of Christ and also reveals how Christ, after his resurrection and ascension into heaven, later ministered to those who had waited for him in the New World. The Book of Mormon was anciently abridged by a prophet named Mormon and was engraved on gold plates, to preserve the sacred writing for a future time. Joseph Smith received the divine commission to translate the gold plates through the power of God. The translation was published in 1830 as a volume of scripture, a sacred record. We invite all people everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. Those who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that Joseph Smith is his revelator and prophet in these last days, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the second coming of the Messiah. "The Book of Mormon is true, just what it purports to be, and for this testimony I expect to give an account in the Day of Judgment." (Encyclopedia, 86-87) - Joseph Smith, Jr.
The inaugural volume of the much-anticipated Joseph Smith Papers , released today, brings to light a project that has been under way for many years. This landmark publishing venture begins with Joseph Smiths personal journal entries, covering the years 1832 to 1839. This unprecedented compilation, to be published by The Church Historians Press, will eventually comprise 30 volumes, including journals, correspondence, discourses and written histories, as well as legal and business documents. Elder Marlin K. Jensen, Church historian and recorder, has called the Joseph Smith Papers Project the most significant Church history project of this generation. When finished, it will be the most complete and authoritative collection of documents related to Joseph Smith Jr., founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Joseph Smith Papers will rank among the most significant projects in the history of American religion, said Kenneth Minkema, director of the Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale Divinity School. The Joseph Smith Papers, Journals, Volume 1, grants readers a window into the life and personality of the Mormon prophet. Journal writings include doctrinal teachings and revelations as well as accounts of daily encounters and significant spiritual experiences, such as the First Vision and the Kirtland temple dedication. Informative annotations, maps, textual photos, reference materials and other tools provide context and bring the text to life. Editors present the text just as it was written, preserving the language, grammar and often nonstandard spelling of Smith and his scribes and conveying an authentic sense of the times. The fragile, 19th-century documents were previously seen only by a select few. Now, the curious of any faith or scholarly background can obtain a firsthand view of the religious leader directly from the transcripts of original manuscripts. The project follows the highest scholarly standards of documentary editing and has been endorsed by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission, a division of the National Archives. LDS scholar Joseph Bently examines the many legal trials that Joseph Smith had in his lifetime. There are many common misconceptions about these trials that are spread by anti-Mormons. Joseph Bentley clears these up and presents the facts of these trials. Some condemn Joseph Smith for being involved with any legal trial, but it must be remembered that Jesus Christ Himself, a perfect being, was also falsely accused. Nauvoo University - Joseph Smith Academy For more information: www.nauvoouniversity.com On the 16th day of December, 1840, the charter of the University of the City of Nauvoo, as part of the charter of the City of Nauvoo, was signed by Governor Thomas Carlin of Illinois. This university is being reorganized and reincorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Illinois. It has been known as the "University of the City of Nauvoo", the "University of Nauvoo", but will be incorporated as 'Nauvoo University'. Joseph Smith stated that the purpose of the University of Nauvoo is to "enable us to teach our children wisdom -- to instruct them in all knowledge, and learning, in the Arts, Sciences and Learned Professions. We hope to make this institution one of the great lights of the world, and by and through it, to diffuse that kind of knowledge which will be of practical utility, and for the public good, and also for private and individual happiness." The reorganized Nauvoo University will use this prophetic pronouncement as its mission statement. The governing body of Nauvoo University will be a Board of Trustees. This Board is being reorganized and has started a campaign to raise funds for, and solicit support of, the University. Donations of real estate, endowment funds for buildings and scholarships, and assistance in the organization and establishment of the university are needed. Nauvoo University is not owned, operated, funded, or supported by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is an independent institution adhering to Latter-day Saint standards and principles. We plan to have a freshmen of 50 students here by the fall of 2009 along with 20 faculty, administrative, and staff people. We are looking for faculty and students who have a pioneering spirit and who will leave an lasting imprint on this new institution. Initially we will use existing facilities to house the students and staff, but will start a building program as soon as possible. Our initial goal is to have a men's dorm, a women's dorm, a student center with an auditorium, a building, and a gym. We are just beginning to realize that starting a college from scratch is an incredibly complex and difficult task. It will be impossible if we do not have the full support of the local citizens and leaders, both LDS and non-LDS. We will also need the support of the academic community and of LDS members in the mid-west and elsewhere. Also we are not certain that adequate funding will be forthcoming or that a location for a campus will be In January of 2009 we will review the overall effort and objective of Nauvoo University to determine its feasibility based on the support that we have received. Joseph Smith and the Restoration - When You Believe To Joseph Smith, the Lord said: "The ends of the earth shall inquire after thy name, and fools shall have thee in derision, and hell shall rage against thee; while the pure in heart, and the wise, and the noble, and the virtuous, shall seek counsel, and authority, and blessings constantly from under thy hand." (Doctrine & Covenants 122:1-2) On Sunday evening, April 26th, 1834 at a priesthood meeting in Kirtland, Ohio, the Prophet Joseph Smith invited those present to bear testimony of the importance of the latter day work. Several men responded. "Brethren, I have been very much edified and instructed in your testimonies here tonight," said the Prophet, "but I want to say to you before the Lord that you know no more concerning the destinies of this church and kingdom than a babe upon its mothers lap. You don't comprehend it. It is only a little handful of the Priesthood you see here tonight, but this church will fill North and South America--It will fill the world." Since that 1834 meeting in Kirtland, a series of events evidences the veracity of this prophetic utterance. In 1901 five out of every six Latter-day Saints lived in the western United States and the church had a membership of 250,000. Today, the membership grows at a rate of a million members ever three and a half years. Approximately 375 buildings are constructed annually to provide meetinghouses for the mushrooming membership. Faithful members enjoy the blessings of temple worship in over 120 temples throughout the earth. There is not a city in the United States or Canada of any consequence which does not have a Latter-day Saint congregation. It is the same in Mexico, Central, and South America as well as New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Africa, and may of the islands of the sea. An estimated 85 million copies of the Book of Mormon are in circulation, and that is just the beginning. Do you wonder if Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God? Look around you and see prophesy being fulfilled. Faithful Latter-day Saints have looked and now invite family, friends, and near neighbors to embrace the joy of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ascoltalo!" (Joseph Smith - Storia 1:6-17). The Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith - A True Super Man To Joseph Smith, the Lord said: "The ends of the earth shall inquire after thy name, and fools shall have thee in derision, and hell shall rage against thee; while the pure in heart, and the wise, and the noble, and the virtuous, shall seek counsel, and authority, and blessings constantly from under thy hand." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvml57PE is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church. Joseph Smith, Jr. (1805-1844) was the founding prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mormons call him a prophet because, according to the traditional role of prophets recorded in the Old and New Testaments, he relied on revelation from God for teaching the people, and not on his own wisdom or learning. In 1820, at the age of fourteen, Joseph was deeply perplexed about which church he should join, and the conflicting preaching of many religious ministers increased his uncertainty. Members of his immediate family were drawn to the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches. Joseph was determined to know which of the many religions was right. After reading a passage in the Bible in the Book of James, instructing any who lacked wisdom to "ask of God" (James 1:5), Joseph decided to turn directly to God for guidance. Early one morning in the spring of 1820, Joseph went to a secluded wood to ask God which church he should follow. As he was praying, as he recounted later, God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him. This experience is called the First Vision in Mormonism and considered a pivotal event in the history of humankind, second only to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The importance of the event hinges on its definition as the beginning of the restoration of Christ's true gospel on earth, which was lost upon the death of the original apostles. Later, in 1823, Joseph Smith said he was also visited by an angel named Moroni, who told him of an ancient record containing God's dealings with the former inhabitants of the American continent. Joseph was shown the forest location of the record's hiding place by the angel. However, he was also told that he should wait another four years before being able to obtain the record, and that until then he should return each year to the same place to receive further instructions. In 1827, Joseph was finally able to retrieve the record, which was inscribed on golden plates. Shortly after obtaining these golden plates, Joseph Smith began translating its words by the "gift of God." The result of his translating efforts became known as the Book of Mormon—Another Testament of Jesus Christ, which was published in March of 1830. Following the publication of the Book of Mormon, on April 6, 1830, the prophet finally organized the Church and became its first president. Information from http://www.mormonwiki.com

While working in Harmony, Pennsylvania, in 1825, Joseph Smith met Emma Hale. On January 18, 1827, Joseph and Emma were married. Together they had eleven children (including two who were adopted), only five of whom lived past infancy. Joseph deeply loved his family, and his personal writings are filled with concerns and prayers for the welfare of his family. On June 27, 1844, while in Carthage Jail, Joseph Smith and his brother, Hyrum Smith, were killed by a mob. During his short life, the Prophet Joseph established cities, produced volumes of scriptures, and sent missionaries throughout the world. He was involved in the construction of temples, served as mayor of Nauvoo, and was even a candidate for the presidency of the United States. He has been described by men not of his faith as the most influential religious leader in American history. He was definitely a controversial figure who attracted persecution because he challenged established creeds. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not worship the Prophet Joseph, but they do revere him as the instrument by which the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvml57PE is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church. Joseph F. Smith was the sixth prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in that position for seventeen years. Born on November 13, 1838, to Hyrum (Joseph Smith's brother) and Mary Fielding Smith, he experienced upheaval and hardships early in life. His father was in jail when he was born, and the rest of his family was forced from their home in Far West, Missouri, when he was only a couple of months old. The family fled to Illinois, and for a time life was peaceful as the family lived in Nauvoo. Then in June of 1844, when Joseph F. Smith was only five years old, his father and his uncle Joseph Smith were martyred. Although he was young he said: "I saw his lifeless body together with that of my father after they were murdered in Carthage jail; and still have the most palpable remembrance of the gloom and sorrow of those dreadful days." In the fall of 1846 the family was again forced from their home, and Joseph F. Smith crossed the Missouri river to begin his journey with his mother across the plains to Utah. Joseph, though only seven when their journey began, was in charge of driving an ox team. In September of 1848, the family finally arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. A few years later, at 13, Joseph F. Smith was baptized as a member of the Church. Only five months after his baptism, Joseph's mother passed away. Though he was still relatively young, he cherished tender memories of his mother's abiding faith and willingness to sacrifice. During the eight years between Hyrum's martyrdom in 1844 and Mary's own death in 1852, she shepherded her family across the plains to the valley of the Great Salt Lake, established a home and farm, and nurtured the faith of her children. At fifteen years old Joseph F. Smith served his first mission for the Church. He was sent to Hawaii and stayed there preaching until he was nineteen. Joseph F. Smith embraced the Hawaiian people and learned the language in just 100 days. In 1857, he returned to Utah and just three years later left again for another mission, this time to England. When he returned in 1863, he was again called on another mission to Hawaii. In July 1866, at only 27 years old, Joseph F. Smith was ordained as an apostle and served as a counselor to President Brigham Young. He also served as the president of the European Mission. Joseph F. Smith served as second counselor to three presidents of the Church: John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, and Lorenzo Snow. Then in October,1901, at 62 years old, he was called as the sixth president of the Church. While president and prophet, Joseph F. Smith began the Church's work to maintain church history sites. Under his direction the Church purchased Carthage Jail, a part of the temple site in Independence, Missouri, Joseph Smith's birthplace, the Sacred Grove, and Joseph Smith Sr. family farm. Joseph F. Smith also oversaw the building of more temples, and oversaw the construction of both the Cardston Alberta Temple in Canada and the Laie Hawaii Temple, though he died before either was finished. He was also concerned about promoting a good family environment and instituted the weekly home evening program. This zeal for the preservation and teaching of the family came from his own love for his family. He said often that "life everlasting should begin at home," (Teachings Of Presidents Of The Church: Joseph F. Smith, p.241). Joseph F. Smith was also the first President of the Church to visit Europe while serving. He also received the revelation now found in Doctrine and Covenants section 138, concerning the Savior's visit to the spirits of the dead while his body was in the tomb 138. In November 1918 at 80 years old, Joseph F. Smith passed away. His son Joseph Fielding Smith, who also became a president of the Church, remembered his father this way, "His spirit was gentle and kind. A more sympathetic soul, one who suffered with the sufferer, who was more willing to help the helpless to carry his burden, and the downtrodden to regain his feet, could not be found in all the borders of Israel. He was a peace-maker, a lover of peace."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvml57PE is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church. This is a video I created from clips from a few movies--The Restoration, Praise to the Main, Emma Smith: My Story--as part of my testimony of Joseph Smith, the Mormon prophet. Please leave a comment about "Joseph Smith, Mormon Prophet"! Mormons revere Joseph Smith as the prophet who was called of God to restore the Church of Jesus Christ in its fullness to the earth, today known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church or "Mormons"). On a spring day in 1820, 14-year-old Joseph Smith sought solitude in a grove of trees and prayed to know which church was true. God the Father and Jesus Christ, "two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description," appeared and spoke with Joseph. Wondering which of the many churches to join, Joseph Smith had followed the counsel in the Bible's book of James: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God." The Lord told Joseph Smith "that all the religious denominations were believing in incorrect doctrines" and that he was to await further instructions from on high. "In a state of calmness and peace indescribable," Joseph Smith left that sacred grove knowing the reality of our Father in Heaven and His resurrected Son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith's first vision stands today as the greatest event in world history since the birth, ministry, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After centuries of darkness, the Lord opened the heavens to reveal His word and restore His Church through His chosen prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, not once, but innumerable times throughout his life. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, organized the true Church of Jesus Christ upon the earth once more and restored the plain and precious truths which were lost due to the apostasy of men. He lived great and he died great in the eyes of God! To learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church or Mormon Church or the "Mormons"), visit http://www.mormon.org

(more) Added: January 27, 2008 "The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it." - Joseph Smith We don't worship Joseph Smith, but I do think he was pretty awesome :) Song "Praise the Man" sung by Jenny Jordan Frogley, found on the EFY CD from 2005
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Zsvml57PE is a video describing how to learn more about the Mormon Church. 164 years ago the Prophet Joseph Smith was martyred. Newspaper Headlines at the time screamed: "Thus ENDS Mormonism." Nevertheless, the work of God has continued to roll forward to fill the earth. This was a critical chapter in Mormon history. On June 27, 1844, at about 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were assassinated by enemies of the Church in the county jail at Carthage, Illinois. John Taylor, severely wounded at the same time, later called the Smith brothers "martyrs of religion" and declared that the Restoration of the gospel had "cost the best blood of the nineteenth century." These faithful souls personified the Savior's teaching: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." "God is my friend," wrote Joseph Smith to his wife in 1832. "In him I shall find comfort. I have given my life into his hands. I am prepared to go at his call. I desire to be with Christ. I count not my life dear to me, only to do his will." Days before his death in 1844, the Prophet reiterated: "I am ready to be offered a sacrifice for this people." Leaving Nauvoo for Carthage, Joseph said, "I have a conscience void of offense towards God, and towards all men." The Prophet humbly acknowledged, "I am a lover of the cause of Christ." Do you wonder if Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God? Look around you and see prophesy being fulfilled. Faithful Latter-day Saints have looked and now invite family, friends, and near neighbors to embrace the joy of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. "Persecution has not stopped the progress of truth, but has only added fuel to the flame, it has spread with increasing rapidity. Proud of the cause which they have espoused, and conscious of our innocence, and of the truth of their system, 'midst calumny and reproach, have the Elders of this Church gone forth, and planted the Gospel...it has penetrated our cities, it has spread over our villages, and has caused thousands of our intelligent, noble, and patriotic citizens to obey its divine mandates, and be governed by its sacred truths...there are numbers now joining in every land. Our missionaries are going forth to different nations, and in Germany, Palestine, New Holland, Australia, the East Indies, and other places, the Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done. Respectfully, Joseph Smith, Jr." Video produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

To Joseph Smith, the Lord said: "The ends of the earth shall inquire after thy name, and fools shall have thee in derision, and hell shall rage against thee; while the pure in heart, and the wise, and the noble, and the virtuous, shall seek counsel, and authority, and blessings constantly from under thy hand." (Doctrine & Covenants 122:1-2) On Sunday evening, April 26th, 1834 at a priesthood meeting in Kirtland, Ohio, the Prophet Joseph Smith invited those present to bear testimony of the importance of the latter day work.
163 years ago the Prophet Joseph Smith was martyred. Newspaper Headlines at the time screamed: "Thus ENDS Mormonism." The work of GOD continues, brothers and sisters. Never get discouraged. "This is the work of God," Joseph Smith declared to the small group gathered for the organization of the Church on Tuesday, April 6, 1830 in Fayette, New York. That day those assembled received "glorious manifestations of the powers of the Priesthood. Many were "brought to repentance, were immersed in the water and were filled with the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands." Thus began the "marvelous work" of the latter days to bring souls to a knowledge and testimony of the Savior. As the Saints matured in gospel understanding, the Prophet Joseph advised, "Let every man, woman and child realize the importance of the work, and act as if success depended on his individual exertion alone."4 The Prophet Joseph called for each member to exert "fresh zeal and energy in the cause of truth"5 and to push forward "the interests of the Church and Kingdom of God." "For, behold," the Lord revealed, "I will bless all those who labor in my vineyard with a mighty blessing." Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, not once, but innumerable times throughout his life. A song from a musical about Joseph Smith by Mahonri Stewart, and Nathaniel Drew. Listen to more music at www.nathanieldrew.com
"Not only did the Almighty manifest his acceptance of that house [Kirtland Temple], at its dedication, but an abiding holy heavenly influence was realized; and many extraordinary manifestations of his power were experienced on subsequent occasions. Not only were angels seen within, but a pillar of light was several times seen resting down upon the roof." Eliza R. Snow: An Immortal: Selected writings of Eliza R. Snow (1957), 59. On March 27, 1836, Joseph Smith dedicated a temple in Kirtland, Ohio, the first built in the latter days. "I have accepted this house and my name shall be here," the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed in a vision to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery just a week later on April 3. Not since ancient times had God commanded his people to build a temple. He promised the Saints that in his holy house they would be "endowed with power" and "taught from on high." Thus the prophecy of Malachi was partially fulfilled that in the last days the Lord would "suddenly come to his temple." At great personal sacrifice, the early Saints gathered to build temples to God. Today more than 120 temples across the world stand as sentinels of "the power of godliness" and as sanctuaries from the storms of life. In the temple, the faithful can receive ordinances of salvation for themselves and act as proxies for their families, learn eternal truths, and feel the peace of the Lord.

Praise to the Man who communed with Jehova! The last of the mourners passed through the Mansion House at 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 1844. The coffins of Joseph and Hyrum were nailed closed and taken by hearse to the graveyard, though to elude malicious tampering, the bodies of the two Church leaders had been taken secretly to another location. William W. Phelps, close associate of the Prophet Joseph, gave a stirring funeral sermon for the martyred Church leaders. "They can rest from their labors, and their works shall follow them," he declared. "Mourn not; these sons of God are safe; dry up your tears; confess the hand of the Lord in all things, and comfort each other with the sweet hope that their lives were precious in the sight of all heaven." Phelps paid final tribute to the prophet of the Restoration, writing the hymn "Praise to the Man": "Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again." Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah! Jesus annointed that Prophet and Seer. Blessed to open the last dispensation, Kings shall extol him, and nations revere. Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again. Praise to his mem'ry, he died as a martyr; Honored and blest be his ever great name! Long shall his blood, which was shed by assasins, Plead unto heav'n while the earth lauds his fame. Great is his glory and endless his priesthood. Ever and ever the keys he will hold. Faithful and true he will enter his kingdom, Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old. Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven; Earth must atone for the blood of that man. Wake up the world for the conflict of justice. Millions shall know "Brother Joseph" again.
Affected by the great religious excitement taking place around his home in Palmyra, New York, in 1820, fourteen-year-old Joseph was determined to know which of the many religions he should join. He encountered a passage in the Bible instructing any who lacked wisdom to "ask of God" (James 1:5). Early one morning in the spring of 1820, Joseph went to a secluded wood to ask God which church he should join. According to his account, while praying Joseph was visited by two "personages" who themselves as God the Father and Jesus Christ. He was told not to join any of the churches. In 1823, Joseph Smith said he was visited by an angel named Moroni, who told him of an ancient record containing God's dealings with the former inhabitants of the American continent. In 1827, Joseph retrieved this record, inscribed on thin golden plates, and shortly afterward began translating its words by the "gift of God." The resulting manuscript, the Book of Mormon, was published in March 1830. On April 6, 1830, Joseph Smith organized The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became its first president. Joseph married Emma Hale on January 18, 1827, and was described as a loving and devoted husband. They had eleven children (two adopted), only five of whom lived past infancy. During the thirty-nine years of his life, Joseph established thriving cities in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois; produced volumes of scripture; sent missionaries throughout the world; orchestrated the building of temples; served as mayor of Nauvoo, one of the largest cities in Illinois, and as general of its militia, the Nauvoo Legion; and was a candidate for the presidency of the United States. He was a controversial figure in American history—beloved of his followers and hated by his detractors. Joseph was persecuted much of his adult life and was killed along with his brother Hyrum by a mob in Carthage, Illinois, on June 27, 1844. However, prior to his death, Joseph Smith made a profound statement. On April 26th, 1834 at a priesthood meeting in Kirtland, Ohio, the Prophet Joseph Smith invited those present to bear testimony of the importance of the latter day work. Several men responded. "Brethren, I have been very much edified and instructed in your testimonies here tonight," said the Prophet, "but I want to say to you before the Lord that you know no more concerning the destinies of this church and kingdom than a babe upon its mothers lap. You don't comprehend it. It is only a little handful of the Priesthood you see here tonight, but this church will fill North and South America--It will fill the world." Since that 1834 meeting in Kirtland, the veracity of this prophetic utterance has been tested and proven. Do you wonder if Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God? Look around you and see prophesy being fulfilled. Faithful Latter-day Saints have looked and now invite family, friends, and near neighbors to embrace the joy of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a part of my testimony that the work of God will roll forth to fill the earth. This film was inspired by the full hour musical CD made by Rob Gardner which can be found at www.spiremusic.org
