Orange County Sheriff's Department et al. Matthew Fleuret's attorneys, Stephen Bernard and David Brown, say he was arrested two years ago on suspicion of obstructing a deputy after a bar fight in San Clemente, California. And they allege that video footage shows deputies took Fleuret's pants off and used a stun gun on him, even though he was handcuffed and, at one point, strapped to a chair. Flueret alleges he was tased at least 11 times. The video also appears to show a deputy slamming Fleuret in the head as he sat on a bench in the jail. The video was released as part of the discovery process in Fleuret's lawsuit. It comes a few months after a drunken homeless man died after being tased in the Orange County jail. Stephen Bernard joined his father, Saul J. Bernard, at the Bernard Law practice after attending the University of Southern California and Southwestern University School of Law. Police, carrying firearms and wearing Kevlar vests, burst into 3 Pubs around midnight and assaulted several students, sprayed them with mace, took their cellphones and ordered them to delete cellphone pictures of the raid. Police officers also reportedly put their hands in some womens' underwear to search for drugs. "I understand they have a job to do and I always accommodate them. But this time they just burst in, assaulted my customers and hit me in the face when I said I was the owner. They also pointed guns at us. One student, who asked to remain anonymous, had a blue eye and several bruises on his face, after being kicked four times in the face, allegedly by a police officer, after he and his friends were ordered to lie on the ground in the pool room in Die Mystic Boer. "They told us to stop drinking and smoking. My friend lit up a cigarette and they slapped him in the face. I yelled: "Dude, what the f**k are you doing to my friend? That's when they hit me and kicked me four times in the face. Then they sprayed mace or pepper spray in my eyes." Niel Bekker, a journalism graduate and son of Koos Bekker, the chief executive of Naspers, said he saw a man from the Netherlands who had been invited to speak at the Woordfees and his Belgian friend confront the police. The Belgian man and his girlfriend, who tried to intervene, were knocked against a wall. He also saw how a girl, who was having an asthma attack and who tried to use her phone, was hit with a baton. Stefan Sessa, the marketing manager at Cia Media, also at Die Mystic Boer, said police hit him and threw him to the ground. Johan Blom, who was at Springbok Pub with his friends, said a police officer shouted at everyone to "put away your f**king phones" and when he asked her why she was swearing at him, he had pepper spray sprayed into his eyes. "I had to rely on my friend to lead me home, because I was blinded." Bevan Williams, who was also in the Springbok Pub, said his doctor confirmed his eardrum had ruptured when a police officer hit him after he tried to take a picture of him. Asked why the police were armed and dressed in riot gear, police spokesperson Elliot Sinyangana said they had to be "prepared for anything". He confirmed that only a small quantity of drugs was found. http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=15&art_id=vn20080310070141838C838576

The officer who beat the woman got fired, but no charges were filed! There is a petition online to press charges against him, we need 2000 votes but only have 720. Please post this link next to the video so people can sign! http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/The-case-of-Angela-Garbarino http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=4309643&page=1 After Angela Garbarino was arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana last November on suspicion of drunk driving, she wound up lying on the police station floor in a pool of her own blood with two black eyes, a broken nose, two broken teeth, and other cuts and bruises. Garbarino says that Officer Wiley Willis beat her up after turning off the police video camera. Willis's attorney insists that Garbarino slipped and fell when Willis tried to prevent her from leaving the room. However, Garbarino says that the extent of her injuries are proof that she was beaten. The police video obtained by ABC News shows Garbarino demanding the right to make a phone call. "I have the right to call somebody right now and I know that," she yells. Officer Willis instead begins handcuffing her. She wiggles away, he pulls her back sharply by her wrists, and she hits the wall and falls on the floor. Willis pushes her down into a chair three successive times as she repeatedly stands up again, increasingly distraught and screaming, "Get away from me!" Willis is finally shown leaning over her and asking, "Do you understand me?" to which she replies, "Yeah, I understand." Willis then walks over and turns off the camera. When the video resumes, Garbarino is lying in the floor in a pool of her own blood. There is an apparent cut in what ABC aired, but according to KTBS in Shreveport, Willis turns Garbarino on her back, telling her, "Lay down, don't move," and she replies, "I can't believe you just did what you just did. I really can't." Willis has since been dismissed from the police force. KTBS states that "Willis was fired by Police Chief Henry Whitehorn earlier this month for how he treated Garbarino during the whole episode, not for her injuries." Willis is appealing his dismissal, and his attorney insists that his client was following procedures in turning off the camera. According to KTBS, "Authorities familiar with Shreveport police policy said a person is read their rights and gets an explanation of what's going to happen next. That is followed by a sobriety test. If the person refuses, the officer can turn off the tape and take them to an adjoining room, handcuff them to a bench, fill out the paperwork and charge them." However, experts suggested to ABC that Willis should have called for female backup when Garbarino began resisting. One criminologist stated, "I think we have a situation where the arrested person is refusing to cooperate and the police officer apparently overreacted."

This program was produced by TVSAMOA in Hawaii. This is the first part of an hour long documentary. Samoa International journalist Tanielu K. Aiono Sataraka interviewed the Doles family lawyer and also acquired footages from the family and MSNBC for this important documentary. To date this is the biggest Police Brutality case in the USA, however it did not receive proper media attention due to the OJ Simpson Murder trial and Rodney King police brutality case which dominated the media at the time. According to Producer Sataraka, he wanted to make sure that Samoans are well informed and educated about their rights.

Please read this. It'll probably save you from looking like an **** Please excuse the language in the song and the hatred presented on the signs. ****** Ever since an Evangelical Speaker came to my campus to speak,I've been keeping an eye on everything that he and his fellow speakers do. I've seen their hatred thrown out at everyone- regardless of race, creed, gender, or lifestyle. When a particular preacher complained about police brutality because an officer made him and his speakers leave, I became somewhat angry. So, I created this video to show everyone just what to preachers do and say to warrant such "police brutality" as being made to leave private property. ***** I do NOT hate Christians. I do not have a problem with religion, except when it is used to insult and be forced upon others. I realize that not all people act like this, and I want everyone to know that I do not believe the majority of Christians act like this. Thank you. ***** Since people are apparently too impatient to wait for the credits, the song is called Liar Liar (Burn in Hell) and it is by The Used. If you wait until the credits and are confused by what they say, the song in the credits is Smile by AFI.
On the Chaffey Community College campus, during one of our most peaceful days, the police arrest and brutalize Joey, James, and Jason after we all complied with school policy, during one of our most peaceful days of activism and free speech. Partial transcript of difficult-to-hear audio: -"He's choking him! He's choking him!"-Jason, as the camera is first pushed away from the door. You can hear him continuing to yell this for about a minute on both sides of the room, including the reception area. -"I'm not resisting!"-James, after he is slammed down on the table, supposedly for resisting the officers. The arrestees: 1st) Jason 2nd) James 3rd) Joey The context: -Listen to what Kortney, the camera person, is saying; she fills it all in. -Toward the end of this video, you can see the main entrance is closed, because they locked down the entire building, closed all the blinds, blocking that side door window with paper, ALL DURING THEIR NORMAL HOURS OF OPERATION, with all three arresttees locked inside for between 20 minutes (Joey) to over an hour (James and Jason). -These are the most talkative and brave members of our team, especially concerning injustice, even when under fire, as you can see at the beginning of the video. By the end of the video, you can see that they aren't saying anything. What did the police say/do to them to so drastically change their normal reactions? -None of them were informed what they were being arrested, nor given prior warning to being arrested, but rather complying with everything the police asked of them (except surrendering our recording devices, one of which they stole and refused to give back). The present situation: -2 of the 3 arrestees are still in a detention center under felony charges. Joey, the one whom they stole the recording device from was brought up on lesser charges. -When the normal police showed up, including San Bernardino Sheriffs and the Fontana police, both of which were informed of the assaults and offered to be shown the videos, talked with us a little, but then left without helping us. The campus police are free to continue doing as they please on the Chaffey College campus. If any of you would like to contact the Chaffey Campus Police Department, or the administration, here is the information: http://www.chaffey.edu **Phone numbers: *Campus Police: 909-652-6632 *Administration: 909/652-6161 *Public Relations: 909/652-6115 **The College Newspaper [#s and website]: (909) 652-6934 [Newsroom], (909) 477-8490 [Story Ideas], (909) 652-6934 [Editors and Staff] http://www.chaffeybreeze.com/contact/ -Call, e-mail, or whatever else you can do to complain, comment, and question to any or all of these departments concerning this obstruction of justice, unprovoked brutality, and spontaneous arrests of peaceful, cooperative prolife activists/free speech advocates performed by the Chaffey College Campus Police on duty on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 between 10am and 2:30pm in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Here is the more detailed Survivors blog of this event: http://survivors.la/blog/index.php?id=62 One of the reasons we don't have film before the arrests started was because of how sudden they were, and because many of the CLT team had just talked a student out of aborting her baby, and dialoging with other students (for example, the young man giving the oddly-timed commentary about this injustice next to the door while this was all happening is a Chaffey student who had been talking with us before this scene errupted) We'll keep you updated as this story progresses. You don't see how much your rights in this country have really eroded away until you exercise them, and it is only by publicly exercising our rights that they remain secure. Apologies for the poor quality for most of the video; our equipment for porting video cassettes to computers wasn't working. We'll upload an unabridged high-quality version as soon as we can.
http://www.noborderscamp.org High-res version http://www.sonoranstyle.net/CALEXICOn11.mov Video of Border Patrol agents tackling a musician to the ground and proceeding to fire pepper rounds at close range into the surrounding crowd and beating them with batons. Video de agentes de la Migra asaltando a un musico, pegandoles con bastones y disparando balas de spray pimienta desde cerca al muchedumbre. Calexico, CA -- November 11, 2007 -- Border Patrol officers attacked Sunday evening participants in the closing rally of a week-long bi-national camp protesting borders in Calexico/Mexicali. The rally took place on both sides of the fence just east of the pedestrian border crossing. Nearly 100 Border Patrol agents used pepper gas pellets, tazers, and batons to assault demonstrators on the U.S side. As people attempted to disperse, Border Patrol agents chased and detained them in groups, forcing them to their knees with their hands on their heads. In one case, a person already badly injured by pepper pellets shot at close range, was pursued and pulled away from a companion treating his wounds. "They were shouting at us to move so I was walking away when I tripped. They grabbed me and tackled me and held me down. A few minutes later, I saw more than a dozen of them beating on another guy with batons and jabbing tasers into him." says Geoff Boyce. The Border Patrol made three arrests: Steve Murphy, Erik Wackernagel and one other person. All three have been charged with impeding a federal officer and are scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate judge Tuesday morning. The detainees maintain that they partook in a peaceful protest and were shocked by the Border Patrol's brutal attack. All others who were temporarily detained on the street have now been released. More than 500 people participated in the No Borders Camp during the week of November 7-11. The bi-national camp was a networking forum for activists opposed to the militarization of the border. Actions during the camp included a rally and march on November 9 at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in El Centro, CA and a memorial service on November 10 at a cemetery in Holtville, CA where the remains of some of the more than 4000 migrants who have died crossing the border are buried. All activities during the camp were peaceful and intended to build connections across borders. Sunday's march and rally was the culmination of the No Borders Camp.

Over the Line: Fighting Police Brutality. A documentary about the problem of police brutality in Minneapolis and the people who are trying to stop it. Police brutality is a term used to describe the excessive use of physical force, assault, verbal attacks, and threats by police officers and other law enforcement officers. The term may also be used to apply to such behavior when used by prison officers. Widespread, systematic police brutality exists in many countries, even those which prosecute it.Brutality is one of several forms of police misconduct which include false arrest, intimidation, racial profiling, political repression, surveillance abuse, sexual abuse, and police corruption. Abuse by law enforcement officers in the United States is one of the most serious and divisive human rights violations in the country. The violations persist nationwide, in rural, suburban, and urban areas of the country, committed by various law enforcement personnel including local and state police, sheriff's departments, and federal agents. Police have engaged in unjustified shootings, severe beatings, fatal chokings, and unnecessarily rough treatment. While the proportion of repeatedly abusive officers on any force is generally small, responsible authorities — including law enforcement supervisors, as well as local and federal government leadership — often fail to act decisively to restrain or penalize such acts. Nothing improvised or spontaneous about it. 2. The order for the preparations came from the top, the Chief of Police and his boss, the Mayor of Los Angeles. That's the ONLY way such an operation can take place. No field commander is going to do this on his own and no Police Chief is going to risk his career to so something like this on a whim. 3. The two lying scum-bags responsible (The Mayor and Chief) are only expressing "shock" now because their actions were caught on video. 4. The same things happens at virtually EVERY peaceful political protest of any size in the US: a) fake "anarchists" throw a few bottles at police and/or vandalize private property b) the "anarchists" are never caught or even assaulted c) the police use the "provocation" as a justification to attack the crowd d) the police try to antagonize the crowd into retaliating (which rarely works by the way) so they can justify mass arrests in order to discredit the demonstrators and their cause. Normally, the venal, spineless, lazy US news media covers up the reality of these "episodes." This time the LAPD shoved some reporters around (heavens to Betsy!) and what really happened made the news. credits:1mcsource ....

Police beat up a girl at Reagan National Airport, throwing her across the room into a person and a metal chair. Then they picked her up and threw her against a table. After that, they bashed her head into that metal table, giving her a concussion. Then they twisted her arm so hard that it was about to break.

New York City Police violently assault, batter and basically beat the crap out of people who are not interfering with them and are merely trying to videotape their actions. Granted - not all police are like this. But none the less, videos like this can make the police seem no better than any other street thugs.

Props to Mr Moore for putting the NYPD's racist cops on blast. You gotta love it.
