The database is up, but still having problems. We're working on that right now.

We lost a database server, which is causing lots of errors. Reloading the page may work. It's in the process of recovery.

Some users are not seeing all updates in their timelines. We are aware of this problem and are working to resolve it.

Service may go offline during a maintenance window between 8PM - 10PM PST while we perform optimizations to increase system speed.

We had an outage this weekend of outgoing emails (for new followings and direct messages). Now fixed (processing backlog). Sorry about that.

Looks like there's a bug with the update button not working consistently with some browsers/versions/OSs. Looking into it!

hint: if IM is reluctant: log out and back in to chat; if that doesn't work, delete Twitter contact, and re-add to establish presence info.
