Ah, the dangers of wiki type stuff... they're gone now though which proves the model though :). People have contributed a bunch of "real" stuff that's been pretty awesome too.

Someone needs to add "Mikey" from New Mexico who was looking for a girlfriend on the internet. It was from 2001, but I don't know exactly when it spread around the net. Here is his website, still up and running: [www.pr0k.net]

Sorry for the mixup, this was pulled from Wikipedia. The timeline is public for anyone to edit, but I've updated the event based on your description.

I have put in a request to become an editor, mainly with one thing in mind. Find the entry for June 21, 2006(Angry German Kid). The description as a of now sets it as it actually being a video a kid haveing a real freak out. The truth is that the kid in the video has made several videos and hosted them on a site a few years back. He would get into character as a really over done steryotype. This was simply one of those videos. The reason it got so famous is that a local news station from where he lived asked if they could use it in an arts segment that they ran about kids in the area. They, of course, had him sign the usuall papers about transfering ownership and rights to the company that owned the new station. They decided to expolit him. They put it on the news as a 'Dangers of Gaming' segment, and used it as a prime evidence back when Germany was having thier trials to make certain games illegal and ect(which actually became law there, and it is now illegal to kill the portyal of a human in a virtual invroment... though I highly doubt it has ever been acted upon). It became a big national thing, and made it to youtube and various other sites quickly, most with out translations. Gamers that read a transcript or actually listen to the things he is saying can tell its just a over dramazation. Even now, years later(and this video really is about 5-6 years old... it just made it to youtube a few years ago), he still gets shit for it. He is ridiculed and people tak one look at him, recognize him, and refuse to employ him, as he is considered a liablity, seeing as he is the incarnate of Devil Gamer and all.
