Supervisors are scheduled to consider approving the project. The board also can reject it or postpone a decision.
Concluding its hearing in Ventura, the commission recommends 3-2 that county supervisors approve the project.
The Ventura County Planning Commission begins a hearing on the project at Simi Valley City Hall. Knolls residents show up in force in opposition.
Colton Lee submits a new plan calling for up to 60 homes on the site, the Julia Meadows Project.
The developer submits a third revised application to allow up to 100 manufactured housing units, the Katherine Meadows Project. The county deems the application complete for processing.
Colton Lee submits another revised application to allow up to 142 manufactured housing units. The county deems that application incomplete.
The developer submits the first of several new applications revising the project. The first calls for a manufactured housing community of up to 150 units. The county deems the application incomplete.
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors holds a preliminary screening hearing, authorizing the project to go forward.
The development is first proposed by Westlake Village-based developer Colton Lee Communities, which wants to build an apartment complex of 150-250 units in Santa Susana Knolls.
