Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This is the first fighting game that I loved. This game made it possible to play as almost any Nintendo game character that I have grown up with. It was hours of fun whether I was playing by myself or with up to three other friends. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This is a type of game that comes along once in a long while. The idea of making one game using characters from all of Nintendo's best selling games, was nothing less than genius. It was a new and unique idea that worked really well.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This has got to be, till this day, one of my all time favorite games. You play as a little micro-chip that jumps into different animals to get around. Each level has unique objectives that need to be completed. To complete the objectives you need to have control over the correct animal; from a mouse to slip under a fence to activate a switch or a dog with rockets to blow up the speakers. This was the first puzzle game I've ever played. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me that not all games were about taking out the bad guys. This game wasn't about fighting, it was about figuring. It was funny which is a nice change from the typical bad guy taking over the world idea. It's a very unique game.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was the first game of this genre that i can remember playing. This is a First Person Shooter (FPS) game, like all of the other games here its provided hours of fun for me and my friends. I will remember this game as the game that made FPS one of my favorite genres. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This is a type of game that took a lot of skill to play, or at least play well. The first person view point puts you in the shoes of the hero. You feel like its you stopping the bad guys. The multiplayer mode puts you against your friends in a shootout to test your skills against each other. This game got the FPS genre up and running, and is still considered one of the best FPS games out there.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game brought me hours upon hours of fun. I could choose one of five different characters to play. The levels were fun and had different ways to play. I remember getting so excited when I realized after defeating specific enemies, you could use parts of them as weapons. This was new and made this game that much more fun. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me that games were getting better and better as time went on, and so was I. This was the first game I remember playing where you could move up and down not just left and right. That made this game almost 3D.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This was the first game I have ever played; this is the game that started my video game addiction. This game has shown me that there is something in this world that will truly amaze me for years to come. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This is the type of game that sparks the imagination. Its challenging, colorful, and has a great plot. I remember spending hours playing, progressing further in the game, and exploring new worlds.
