• Qing Dynasty

  The Qing ruled from 1644 AD to 1911 AD. Kangxi Emperor, the first emperor of china during the Qing dynasty, maintained their domination of the Chinese by preserving their own identity. They had a major influence over china today.

• Ming Dynasty

  The Ming ruled from 1368 AD to 1644 AD. Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of the Ming dynasty, ordered many buildings to be built. These buildings were astounding. The most astounding project they've ever made was the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City wasa huge city that had hundreds of imperial residents and government buildings.

• Yuan Dynasty

  The Yuan ruled from 1279 AD to 1368 AD. They were the strongest military forces in the world at the time. The dynasty had many conflicts, including uprisings lead by Chu, the leader of these uprisings.

  The Jin ruled from 265 AD to 420 AD. The Jin Dynasty began by the conquest of the Liao and Song Dynasties. The Jurchen tribe majorly Influenced the dynasty and how it began.

• Song Dynasty

  The Song ruled from 960 AD to 1279 AD. After China went into chaos, it was unified by the song dynasty. During this time porcelain was invented. Porcelain is a thin, beautiful type of pottery.

  The Tang ruled from 618 AD to 918 AD. The Tang dynasty was the first dynasty with a female ruler, Empress Wu. Empress Wu conquered many lands and reformed armies.

  The Qin ruled from 221 BC to 206 BC. The Qin emperor was a harsh ruler. He believed that everyone should act as he does. If they do not, they are punsihed. During this time, there were major expansion of laws, beliefs and writings.

• Zhou Dynasty

  The Zhou ruled from 1100 BC to 771 BC. They made major expansions of religion and economy. They also believed that heaven chose China’s ruler and gave him or her power. This was called the Mandate of Heaven.
